My treatment approach is diverse. I try to look at each individual and put the puzzle together of what might be the deeper underlying cause of the situation at hand. For those seeking deep changes in the body, I prefer the work of Structural Integration (SI) or whats commonly known as Rolfing. SI is deep focused work given over a series of 3-12 sessions.

For those wanting to relax from their stressful lives I prefer the work of Massage therapy and for those who are ready and wanting to address the issues in their body with something they can do at home, I prefer to meet one on one and tailor a yoga home routine for them. Structural Integration
Structural Integration is a goal focused therapeutic modality. This form of bodywork is ideal for those who have injuries, chronic pain, restrictions in movements or poor alignment in your posture that is inhibiting your health and wellbeing. We will assess your goals for change that you want in your body, take time for a detailed before and after assessment of your posture, range of motion and pain scale. Then outline a plan that has a start and finish to the treatment. This start and finish may be in one session, a series of 3 sessions or optimally the traditional 12 session series. After this form of bodywork you are asked to let your body settle into the changes and if needed do a follow up in 6 months to 1 year. It is suggested to go through the whole 12 series once every 10 years and do regular massage and your movement practices to keep things open and aligned.
Sessions last anywhere from 60-75min minutes.

Getting a massage can do you a world of good. And getting massage frequently can do even more. This is the beauty of bodywork. Taking part in this form of regularly scheduled self-care can play a huge part in how healthy you'll be and how youthful you'll remain with each passing year. Budgeting time and money for bodywork at consistent intervals is truly an investment in your health. And remember: just because massage feels like a pampering treat doesn't mean it is any less therapeutic. Consider massage appointments a necessary piece of your health and wellness plan.

I found after years of massaging peoples aches and pains “where it hurts” to little long term solution and then watching people move in yoga classes and seeing how they compensate as they move. Through the years seeing common patterns in people and realizing that "where it hurts" is often the victim area of the body and the problem area or the culprit is often silent and somewhere else. When you continue to rub or stretch where it hurts and it doesn't get better its time to look elsewhere. Continuing to focus on the wrong area could be exasperating the issue further. When we massage or stretch the culprit, even in a short period of time, areas that had been chronic for years shift dramatically and pain, discomfort, restrictions disappear.
